Ranking The Best Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Characters

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has some of the best characters in Star Wars history, so I had to break down a list of the best characters in the successful Star Wars spin off movie.

See the best Rogue One: A Star Wars Story characters below!

1. Cassian Andor (Diego Luna)

Ranking The Best Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Characters

While this character took a few scenes for me to grow on me, Diego Luna’s portrayal of rebel intelligence soldier Cassian Andor, was one of the most bad-ass and gritty character portrayal in Star Wars history.

Cassian Andor is far from a cleanly character as he does what he is told no matter the moral of the order. He plays a true to life CIA type of character who embodies gritty, and bad-ass like no other Star Wars character has.

If there is one character I would have liked to see more of (in perhaps a prequel) it is his, as Cassian’s backstory could be filled with rebel mischief and side missions for the good of the rebellion.

2. Jyn Erso ( Felicity Jones)

While some responses were mixed about the casting of Felicity Jones in the spin off Star Wars film, I thought Jyn Erso was another character I would have loved to have seen more of.

Her character like Cassian’s is full of rebel and anti-hero mischief, as she too plays a rebel anti-hero like we have needed since the days of Han Solo.

Felicity Jones not only nailed her part in the movie, but I would also like to see more of her in a prequel or perhaps sequel which they somehow have considered (even though the next movie would definitely be episode IV.

3. Chirrut Imwe ( Donnie Yen)

Donnie Yen has always been one of those Bruce Lee type of characters that excels in adding a eastern and martial arts aspect to the films they are in.

While his character was the typical asian guru full of spiritual philosophies about the force, his character touched audiences with his selfless way of fending for others, especially while he is blind.

On top of this, he is as bad-ass as possible as this blind hero is the best non-Jedi we have ever seen.

P.S. He may as well be one

4. Baze Malbus (Wen Jiang)

One of the most surprisingly awesome characters, Baze Malbus was a true war hero as his excelled in being the tough guy partner of Chirrut Imwe.

His character reminded me of the typical war hero in classic films like Saving Private Ryan as he always had his rebels back.

Side Note: They need to make his gun available in Star Wars Battlefront because it was nothing short of incredible.

5. K-2SO (Alan Tudyk)

Star Wars does it again in excelling by making audiences care and like so much another robotic character. K-2SO is a reprogrammed Imperial robot who is nothing short of spectacular and bad-ass to the steel.

While R2-D2 and BB8 were obvious fan favorites, K-2SO is a absolute tie at minimum with the other Star Wars droids.

Did I mention he’s another heroic bot that fans will probably want to see more of?

6. Bodhi Rook ( Riz Ahmed )

Ranking The Best Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Characters

For those of you who don’t know this is the pilot, excellently played by Riz Ahmed.

Bodhi Rook again reminds me of another classic war movie pilot, who gives his all to fight for the rebel cause.

Riz Ahmed’s portrayal adds to the excellent and classic war flick that Rogue one: A Star Wars Story truly is.

Which Rogue One: A Star Wars Story characters would you add to this list?
