Ghost In The Shell Trailer And Every Positive Take Away

Scarlett Johansson is back and judging by my previous posts, you can probably tell I am a huge fanatic.

The first Ghost In The Shell trailer arrived during the early hours of yesterday and those previous “white-wash” complaints have died down a little.

While white-washing is still an issue, it doesn’t mean that the Ghost In The Shell movie won’t be completely bad-ass as Scarlett Johansson looks sexy, intriguing and perfectly aesthetic as The Major.

Before you indulge on our POSITIVE list for Ghost In The Shell, make sure to check out that Ghost In The Shell trailer again below.

Watch The First Ghost In The Shell Trailer:

Parallel Adaption:

An identical scene from the original anime with The Major and Batou
An identical scene from the original anime with The Major and Batou

From the trailer alone you see pure aestheticism mixed with what looks like a very existential (study your philosophy folks) identical adaption to the original Ghost In The Shell anime.

While obviously Hollywood will be Hollywood in their comic to film adaptions, this Ghost In The Shell movie looks very similar to the original anime.

Scarlett’s character looks damn near identical other than the original Major being a bit more naked in her Ghost In The Shell attire.

The weapons and action sequences seem quite the same, as they looks to be the correct futuristic approach of what these bad-asses might be using.

While they could have easily made a dumbed down approach to the original anime, you can tell from the trailer that this movie is still going to stick as properly to source material as they can.

The Visuals:

This trailer is visually stunning to copy directly what Erik Davis said in the earlier anticipation for the Ghost In The Shell trailer.

From the many, “what in the hell is that” moments, to the artsy, philosophical and deeper meaning aesthetic views, this movie looks to truly bring the original creative approach to life.

While your average viewer may be like what in the hell is this, the true Ghost In The Shell fans are ready to indulge in what looks like a universal mind spin.

If you were one of the rare few that understood Scarlett Johansson’s movie Lucy, then wait until you see the greatness that Ghost In The Shell looks like it is about to bring to theaters next year.

Bottom Line:

If this movie blends the deep nature of the original story with the perfect mix of entertaining fun and action, this Ghost In The Shell movie will be beyond what anyone has expected as it has done so well at doing just that, at least so far.

Here is another Ghost In The Shell featurette that should get you more than ready for the future installment March 31st, 2017!
