These are the top three reasons that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be better than The Force Awakens.
Since so much of this analysis is based off of the trailer, make sure you check out the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story trailer first.
We saved the biggest reason for number one, well because you need to read this one first.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story looks to add a tone and storyline unlike any other Star Wars movie, as this is the first one to not mainly focus on the Jedi.
Not only that, Rogue One is expected to have a edgier, darker, tone from which you can see in the war like trailers alone.
Since Rogue One is a standalone movie unlike it’s other Star Wars counterparts, we really have no idea how this movie may end, as it seems plausible the rebel soldiers (including the main characters) may die as we know the Death Star did not get destroyed by any of these characters from the original trilogy.
Look for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story to feature a Star Wars story like we have never seen before.
While Star Wars has always grown actors careers to the max like Harrison Ford (rest in peace Han Solo), this new Star Wars movie not only has a female lead in Felicity Jones (who I was skeptical on at first). . .
But Rogue One also features a upgraded and talented diverse cast of Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen, Riz Ahmed and trained martial artist Donnie Yen.
Hell, even James Earl Jones (the legendary voice of Darth Vader), is returning for this movie.
Look for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story to feature a very diverse group of multi-talented actors.
While Kylo Ren wasn’t awful, once he took off the helmet he definitely lost the excellent villain stature that Darth Vader had in all of the original Star Wars movies. . .
Since Lord Vader is expected to be even more dark side prime (evil and violent) than we have ever seen before, we may also see one of the best villains in movie history, at his prime of being a villain.
Early rumors indicated Darth Vader would be using dead bodies as weapons as he is supposed to be extra Darth in this film.
While Vader is not necessarily expected to be the main villain, this new side of the Darth Lord may make up for the Kylo Ren without a helmet issue.
