Fans Petition For Suicide Squad Joker Extended Cut Release

Suicide Squad has taken it’s fair share of flack, and a major portion of this is due to the film’s questionable and downright sloppy editing.

From the trailers alone you can see multiple deleted scenes that seemed far more weighty than your average extra footage.

Due to this, many fans have claimed Warner Bros hand in over editing their latest DC flick, while Jared Leto himself later stated his frustration with the major cutting of the Joker scenes in Suicide Squad.

Jared Leto states:

“I think that I brought so much to the table in every scene that it was probably more about filtering all of the insanity, because I wanted to give a lot of options, and I think there’s probably enough footage in this film for a Joker movie.”

The scene pictured above with Harley Quinn (that we saw leaked from set many months ago), never appeared in the film, as Warner Bros scrapped all canon evidence of The Joker and Harley’s abusive relationship.

Margot Robbie who did a serious motorcycle stunt in this scene , apparently did it for no reason at all, as the scene didn’t appear in the movie.

While Jared Leto’s scenes were massively cut according to the actor himself, multiple reports of many other scenes that would have structured character development and a steadier plot have also been erased .

This list goes to 22, so you should see the entire thing.

While these these obviously haven’t been confirmed by WB, there is no confirmation needed as we can see multiple of these scenes from the Suicide Squad trailers and behind the scenes footage alone.

So while I have signed the petition, for an extended Joker cut of Suicide Squad, I believe fans should take it a step further and try to get an extended cut of not just the Joker, but also the many scenes that are missing.

While David Ayer has claimed, the theatrical cut is his own, I think we all know what happens to a director if he is to say otherwise *cough* *cough* Josh Trank.

Sign this petition so WB will know the fans want to see the un-released footage.
