Samuel L. Jackson who has been in the spotlight as of late, has recently stated his view on a Star Wars rumor that many have been speculating on since the Jedi’s end in ‘Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith’.

Samuel L. Jackson responded by stating that in his mind, his character was still alive. While many fans have been speculating on this rumor since the characters “death” scene, perhaps this idea could open up to a much older Mace Windu appearing in the many Star Wars prequels that are planned or on their way.

After elaborating further with Entertainment Weekly ( one of the top contributors to new Star Wars news and pictures ), Samuel L. Jackson stated that he even got original Star Wars creator George Lucas on board with this idea as he stated, “Jedi’s can fall from amazing distances and theres a long history of one armed, one handed Jedi’s.”

Samuel L. Jackson’s character “Mace”, was killed after Anakin Skywalker ( pre-Darth Vader ) chopped his arm off while trying to bring Darth Sidious to justice.

Mace Windu was then electrocuted with “force lightening” and thrown off a cliff ( where we did not see his body or remains ).

While Mace Windu being alive would serve little purpose for the many Star Wars movies on their way, perhaps Samuel L Jackson could make an appearance or two as Mace , in the many prequel movies that are planned to come.

Would you have kept Mace Windu alive in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith?
