Prison Break star Dominic Purcell injured on set, how will this affect season 5?
Prison Break, which is set to come back for it’s fifth season sometime in early 2017, has had one of it’s co-stars seriously injured while filming in Morocco.
Dominic Purcell ( who plays Michael Scofield’s older brother “Lincoln Burrows” ), said he is lucky to be alive after a heavy metal bar fell onto his head. While production is stated to not be greatly affected, Fox issued a statement regarding how they would continue filming after Purcell’s injury.
As reported from Deadline, via the Prison Break producer:
“I hear Purcell is expected to be sidelined for a couple of weeks while his wounds heal, with filming continuing around him,” “When he returns, the production will pick up all of his missed scenes, with no cuts to his presence on the series due to the accident.”
This is good news for Prison Break fans who can’t seem to wait any longer in seeing their favorite show return for it’s fifth season.
Dominic Purcell spoke on the incident himself Via Instagram as he states,
( Now that sounds like the tough guy “Linc” all Prison Break fans know )
Prison Break which was originally scheduled to be a mini-series that only lasted one season ( hence the title ) had it’s rapid success and forced writers and producers to come up with more as four seasons in total were made.
After the end of the fourth season, fans for years wanted it back, and it seems producers were able to give them their wish, as a season 5 is definitely happening.
That being said, make sure you catch up or tune into Netflix in order to be updated on Prison Break for it’s highly anticipated season 5 debut.

How much would it have sucked if Dominic Purcell wasn’t as tough as his character Lincoln Burrows in real life?
